COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The student will participate in an internship at an approved local business organization for experience in computer programming, operations, training, data communications or other technological areas during the last term of study.
ACTIVITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS:

- Students will prepare a resume & cover letter in preparation for seeking a job in the information technology field.
- Students will be placed in Information Systems positions at various businesses in the area. Work activities will vary based on the placement.
- Students will submit a journal that documents the dates and hours worked as well as the work activities performed. There should be 1 journal entry for every 8 hours worked.
- Students are encouraged to attend job fairs held in the HVCC geographic area.

GRADE COMPUTATION:
Performance at work site including weekly journal 90%. Blackboard Journal entries are required for every 8 hours worked.
